渡辺謙さんの『ラストサムライ』のロケ地、書写山圓教寺行ってきました。夢前（ゆめさき）ICまで高速で行って、後は下道で、山麓の駐車場に停車。するとロープウェイの乗り場がすぐ近くにありますよ。
ロープウェイからだと、世界遺産・姫路城は隠れて見れませんでした。けど、キレイな瀬戸内海が見れましたよ。
ロープウェイで上がり、マイクロバスで書写山圓教寺へ。
隈研吾さんの展覧会が行われてました。面白かったのが、弁慶（べんけい）が少年時代使ってた勉強机が展示されてましたよ。
一つ残念なのが、瀬戸内海を見渡せる展望台があるのですが、木が生い茂ってて、見れなかったところです。
ロープウェイ乗り場のとこで、近くにいた子どもたちと童心にかえって、かわら投げさせてもらいました。老若男女楽しめると思います。書写山圓教寺と妙見山のかわら投げは、絶対おすすめ。
I visited Shōshazan Engyō-ji, the filming location for Ken Watanabe ‘The Last Samurai’. Take the motorway to Yumesaki Interchange, then continue on the local roads to park at the car park at the foot of the mountain. Then the ropeway station is just nearby. From the ropeway, the World Heritage site Himeji Castle was hidden from view. But I did get to see the beautiful Setonaikai. Upon reaching the top of the ropeway, we took a minibus to Shōshazan Engyō-ji.
An exhibition by Kengo Kuma was being held. What was interesting was that Benkei’s study desk from his boyhood was on display.
One slight disappointment was that although there is an observation deck overlooking the Setonaikai, the view was obscured by dense foliage.
At the ropeway station, I let my inner child out and joined some nearby children in throwing clay discs. I believe it will appeal to people of all ages and genders. The Shōshazan Enkyōji Temple and the tile-throwing at Myōkenzan are absolutely recommended.
