I went walking along the waterfall trail in Minoh. Since an acquaintance lives in Minoh, I often visit there.
At Saikōji Temple on the Minoh waterfall trail, I paid my respects to what seemed to be Daikokuten. The guardian deities for the Year of the Rat appear to be Senju Kannon Bosatsu and Ōkuninushi-sama.There was a proper explanatory sign at Nakayama temple.
I could have posted photos of Minoh Falls, but since people were in them, I couldn’t.
I also paid my respects at Ryuanji Temple, said to be the birthplace of the lottery, and got to see the popular insect museum.
I heard the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Line extended, so I went to check it out right away. On the day of the extension, the station building at Minoh Q’s Mall had crowd control measures in place. It’s super convenient now—you can go straight from Minoh Kayano Station to Nakamozu. I wonder if it takes 20 minutes to get to Shin-Osaka? Mr. Hashimoto often said it, didn’t he? If you support closing Itami Airport, he’d put all his effort into extending the Kita-Osaka Kyuko Line to Minoh.
Honestly, it’s amazing how this place went from being nothing but rice paddies to a futuristic station. Apparently, they started securing land for the Kita-Osaka Kyuko extension 50 years ago. I bought a bento at the station building’s Life supermarket, went to Minoo’s Mizuharu, then headed home. I actually wanted to post a photo of the station too, but it had people in it, so no good.
