Sōrakuen Garden in Kobe. I took the Maya Cable Car and went to Maya-san Tenjōji Temple.
I heard Sōrakuen Garden in Kobe suffered significant damage during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. The Hassam House seems to have been particularly badly hit. The nearest station is Prefectural Office Front. It was quite nice. When I went, the azaleas were absolutely stunning.
Is Kikuseidai one of Japan’s top three night view spots? Kikuseidai was nice, but the observation deck at Maya-san Tenjoji Temple was truly breathtaking. The day I went was perfectly clear, and I could see the entire Seto Inland Sea.
Is there a shuttle bus from Sannomiya to Suzuran no Yu? The downside is it’s a bit far from my house. They have a signed poster of Cerezo Osaka’s Kagawa player on display. Maybe the owner changed? If you’ve been to Suzuran no Yu before, you’ll notice it keeps evolving. They’ve properly secured space for relaxation, and both the spring bath and cold plunge are nice. Unfortunately, they don’t have the popular carbonated bath. It’s a great place to escape the city noise and relax quietly.
I stopped by Kyoto’s Manyo no Yu on a whim. Nearby is the popular Taketori Onsen Akari no Yu, but the price point here is a bit higher compared to Taketori Onsen. So, there are fewer young families with kids, meaning you can relax and soak in peace. The facility itself felt a bit worn down, I suppose.
