<ツルヤ>
I went to Nagano. hotel ambient tateshina. tateshina lake.tsuruya. suwa taisha.

A highland resort nestled on the shores of Lake Megami at an altitude of 1,550 metres. Relax and unwind in a tranquil, peaceful environment abundant with nature. Guided stargazing sessions based on star charts are popular.
<Lake Tateshina>
A picturesque lake surrounded by larch and birch trees. With Mount Tateshina and Mount Hachigamine forming a borrowed landscape, it is beautiful not only in the season of fresh greenery but also during autumn foliage. Activities such as putter golf and bicycle hire can be enjoyed on the lakeshore. Cafés and soba restaurants are also dotted around the area.
<Tsuruya>
A historic local supermarket beloved by Karuizawa’s holiday home owners.

<Suwa tai-sha Shimosha Harumiya>
The Spring Shrine enshrines two deities: Takeminakata-no-Kami and Yasakatome-no-Kami. The names Spring Shrine and Autumn Shrine derive from the seasons in which the deities undergo their seasonal relocation. Compared to the bustling Autumn Shrine in the former Nakasendo post town, the Spring Shrine possesses a quiet and serene atmosphere. The Senza Festival is held annually on 1st February, and the Boat Festival on 1st August.
<Suwatai-sha Shimosha Akimiya>
【The historic Suwa Grand Shrine, Lower Shrine, Autumn Palace, also recorded in the Kojiki】
Suwa Grand Shrine comprises four shrines: the Upper Shrine’s Maemiya and Hongū on the southern side of Lake Suwa, and the Lower Shrine’s Harumiya and Akimiya on the northern side. The Lower Shrine’s Akimiya, visited by many worshippers, boasts numerous points of interest, including bronze guardian dogs and the Haiden Hall. The Kagura Hall, notable for its impressive shimenawa sacred rope weighing up to one tonne, is designated a National Important Cultural Property. Furthermore, the grand festival, the Onbashira Festival, held once every seven years, is a major religious event drawing large crowds.
Nagano’s local supermarket, Tsuruya, and Suwa Grand Shrine were truly excellent.
We visited Tsuruya’s Chino branch. The car park was really spacious, the store interior was bright, and it was very easy to shop there.
Also, the grandmother I met at Suwa Taisha Shimosha Akimiya really made an impression.
While waiting in front of Akimiya for my parents to come out of the loo, I happened to catch the eye of a complete stranger, an elderly lady. I gave her a little bow and said hello, and she smiled and replied. People from prefectures with high happiness levels really do have hearts that are.
